Music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has revealed the reason behind his decision to stop online monetary giveaways.
The Mavin Records CEO explained that he received criticism from people on X who were calling for the act to be banned, which led to his choice to discontinue the giveaways.
Don Jazzy addressed a fan’s assumption that the country’s hardships were the reason for the decrease in his giveaways.
The fan, Temi, mentioned how Don Jazzy used to give N200,000 to 10 lucky individuals, with a preference for those in the crypto or tech industry.
The post reads; “When things still good, @DONJAZZY go Don give like 10 people 200k each. If you con talk one thing about his artiste Wey burst his head. Na like 500k. If you con like tech or crypto, forget na 1m.”
In response, Don Jazzy clarified that he is still financially stable but decided to stop the giveaways based on the consensus among Nigerians on X that it was best for him to cease the practice.
Don Jazzy wrote:
“GOD dey so things good. But I thought all of us on twitter agreed that I should stop doingg iveaway. Say make them bandam 🤷🏾♂️”
