In a heartfelt address to the nation on July 21, 2024, President Joe Biden highlighted the remarkable progress the United States has made under his administration. Citing historic economic growth, substantial investments in healthcare, and unprecedented strides in environmental legislation, Biden emphasized the nation’s strengthened global position and unity.
“Our economy is the strongest in the world,” Biden remarked. “We’ve lowered prescription drug costs, expanded affordable healthcare, and passed significant climate legislation. America has never been better positioned to lead.”

Despite these achievements, Biden decided not to seek reelection, stating it is in his party’s and the country’s best interest. “While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is best for me to stand down and focus on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” he declared.
Biden expressed gratitude to Vice President Kamala Harris and the American people for their support, emphasizing that the nation’s collective efforts have led to overcoming significant challenges, including the pandemic and economic crises.
With a message of unity and hope, Biden stated, “There is nothing America can’t do when we do it together. We just have to remember we are the United States of America.”
