Snoop Dogg, the renowned American rapper born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, is set to carry the Paris Olympic flame in the last leg before the opening ceremony.
The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, July 26, 2024, with more than 10,000 athletes arriving on boats along the Seine River.
In anticipation of the event, Snoop Dogg will proudly carry the torch through the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, as confirmed by the town mayor, Mathieu Hanotin, on his official X account.
The mayor wrote; “Saint Denis: last step before the Eiffel Tower. An international cast @SnoopDogg for the last stretch of the Olympic Flame.”
Other carriers of the torch include French rapper MC Solaar and French actress Laetitia Casta.
