Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has reasserted his strong physical condition, stating that he still engages in football and squash three times a week.
In a video captured during an interview with Noire TV in the US, the 87-year-old former president could be seen briskly walking and discussing his fitness routine with a companion.
Known for his active lifestyle, Obasanjo has maintained his love for sports as a way to stay in shape.
Speaking to his companion, Obasanjo said: “I still play football, squash, three times a week. Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
“Old soldiers never dies, they only fade away.”
Leading the Old Boys team to a 3-0 victory, Obasanjo showcased his athleticism on the school football ground in Saje, Abeokuta as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the school.
