Lerato Kganyago worries that black people are not patronizing her business.
In a recent interview with DJ Fresh, the South African broadcaster and businesswoman discussed her Flutter sanitary pad business.
LKG claimed that individuals, particularly blacks, request free sanitary pads but do not buy them from her.
Lerato’s statement on the show provoked outrage on social media, with some people relating to her issue and others mocking her.
Some tweeps criticised the interview as they are irked by her support for Miss SA finalist Chidnma Adetshina who is of Nigerian roots.
“She should go cry to Nigerians not to us, she knows where her loyalty is,” a user wrote.
“She must voetsek. Let people do what they want with their mone,” a tweep wrote.
Buying indigenous and local products helps to increase in maximum utilization of local resources.
It helps to reduce the import and promote the export of local products. Moreover, local brands and local promotes help to increase the employment opportunity in the country. ♥ pic.twitter.com/Gavv9EqImP
