Nigerian singer Jaywon has announced that he has forgiven his fellow artist, Burna Boy, for the past “disrespect” between them.
During a previous altercation on social media where Jaywon criticized Burna Boy’s claims about paving his own way in the music industry, tensions had risen between the two. However, in a recent interview with Ctdamongblacks, Jaywon expressed his forgiveness towards Burna Boy, citing his impressive musical accomplishments as the reason for letting go of any ill feelings.
Despite acknowledging Burna Boy’s reputation for being “a stubborn child,” Jaywon commended the impact he has made on the Nigerian music scene.
On the other hand, he did not hold back in criticizing rapper Odumodublvck for making similar arrogant statements about his own success in the industry, pointing out that his achievements do not justify such boasts.
Jaywon said, “The original title of my new song ‘Time’ was ‘Letter To Burna Boy’. I changed it when Odumodublvck started ranting. It was actually Burna that inspired the song.
“Burna Boy has done such for this industry without even knowing that he has done it. I know that Burna is not… You know when a child tries and you overlook his misbehaviour because he has tried and worked. Burna Boy is that stubborn child, he misbehaves, but i forgave him.
“But Odumodublvck is not fit. He actually did a Diss track for me and when I heard it, I was disappointed that it was all you could do as a rapper.”
