Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres Tour’ has made history as the first rock music tour to gross over $1 billion.
Surpassing Sir Elton John’s farewell tour, it now holds the title of the highest-grossing rock tour in music history.
Billboard confirmed that this tour is also the first to officially report a worldwide gross exceeding $1 billion.
Last year, Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour reached this milestone in revenue, but Coldplay‘s achievement is the first to do so on a global scale.
Nigerian singers Ayra Starr and Burna Boy joined the tour as special guests in Italy and Dublin, respectively.
