Comedian Seyi Law has asserted that Nigerian governors could even go as far as orchestrating the assassination of the President if state police were to be established.
The call for the creation of state police in Nigeria has been gaining traction, with reports indicating that the 33 Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State are considering breaking away from the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON.
Seyi Law believes that Nigerian governors already abuse their power and would likely do the same with state police if it were to be implemented.
On his X handle on Sunday, he wrote: “Imagine State Police in the hands of some Governors. They will personally organise the execution of the President.”
