The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated unequivocally that he will stay and fight for his ideas.
Wike’s comments come amid an internal crisis inside the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He mentioned this at a media conference on Wednesday to commemorate his first anniversary as FCT minister.
Wike’s declaration came less than 24 hours after Chief Edwin Clark, a former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South leader, urged the Peoples Democratic Party’s National Chairman, Ambassador Iliya Damagun, to dismiss Wike from the party to save it from destruction.
However, amidst speculation that Wike may leave the PDP due to the party’s internal crisis, the minister insisted that he would stay to fight.
