American rapper Big Sean recently revealed on the ‘Out of Context’ podcast that he has not yet married singer Jhené Aiko despite eight years of dating.
He explained to host Charlamagne tha God that he feels there is still a lot of work that needs to be done before he is ready to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend.
He said, “It’s a little personal, you know what I mean? But just like to be real with you, just like any person who have dealt with love, we’ve had our ups and downs…
“And I think it’s still finding the right navigation through it all. To me, marriage symbolises, like, the best relationship. I would like to, and I don’t like putting our personal business out there like that either, but there’s a lot of work that needs to be done.”
Big Sean and Aiko have been in an on-again, off-again relationship since 2016. Aiko was previously married to producer Dot da Genius, but filed for divorce in August of the same year, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple welcomed their son, Noah, in November 2022. Aiko also has a 15-year-old daughter named Namiko with singer O’Ryan.
Prior to his relationship with Aiko, Sean was engaged to his ex-girlfriend, Naya Rivera, in October 2013.
However, the engagement was called off six months later before Rivera’s tragic passing in 2020.
