After nearly ten years together, Big Sean and Jhené Aiko have reportedly ended their relationship, marking the end of one of R&B’s most admired partnerships.
The couple, who share a son, Noah Hasani Chilombo-Anderson, and have collaborated musically under the name TWENTY88, have not publicly confirmed the breakup. However, reports circulating over the past 24 hours suggest that differences over marriage and long-term commitment may have led to the split.
According to a source who spoke with AllHipHop, Aiko was eager to take their relationship to the next level. “She wanted marriage — she wanted the commitment,” the insider said. “Big Sean loves her deeply, but he just never wanted to take that final step.”
The source added that Aiko had given Sean “multiple ultimatums” before ultimately deciding to move on.
Despite the reported separation, the pair are said to be maintaining a peaceful and respectful relationship for the sake of their son. “They’re in a great place — it’s peaceful,” the source added. “They both respect each other too much to let things get messy. They just want to do what’s best for their child.”

Big Sean and Aiko welcomed Noah in 2022, and earlier this year, Sean spoke fondly of fatherhood during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. Reflecting on his son, he said:
“He has the charm of my dad and the spirit of his mom. He’s just the best of all of us put together. When you have a child, you realize they’re a culmination of all your family — all that DNA and information comes alive in them.”
Big Sean added that Noah already shows signs of musical talent:
