Aisha Yesufu praised Nigerians for showing their resistance to oppression by participating in the #EndBadGovernance protests on Saturday.
Despite facing resistance from security forces, citizens across the country stood up for their rights and demanded change.
The protests, which included a one-million-man march in all 36 states and the FCT, were marked by calls for the end of fuel subsidy and other grievances.
Unfortunately, the demonstrations turned violent in several states, resulting in casualties and property damage.
Aisha Yesufu posted on X: “I am so proud of Nigeria citizens who defied the brutality of the Nigerian security agents and kept protesting.
“They showed they are Active Citizens not Slaves. May the souls of those killed continue to rest in peace.”
