Paul Okoye slams Joe Igbokwe over comment on P-Square’s split

Nigerian artist and the second half of the famed music group Psquare, Paul Okoye, has paid tribute to fathers. Following musician Davido's ugly custody fight with his first babymama, Sophia Momodu, Paul Okoye took to Instagram to give a special shout-out to fathers who want to be involved in their children's life. He prayed for God to give them strength.

Popular singer and one half of the former P-Square duo, Paul Nonso Okoye, known as Rudeboy, has criticized All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, for his comments on the group’s breakup.

Paul Okoye recently revealed that P-Square has once again parted ways, just three years after reuniting in 2021 following their 2016 split.

In response to their split, Igbokwe criticized them for not being able to resolve their issues despite being twins, and also commented on their personal lives.

On his Facebook page, Igbokwe wrote: “So shameful that two twin brothers Paul and Peter cannot work together, cannot love one another, they cannot trust each other, they cannot think together, they cannot reason together, they cannot forgive each other, they cannot manage their wives, they cannot manage their success story, they cannot control their emotions, they cannot manage their internal contradictions, even their wives could not help matters, what about their parents, their brothers and sisters, their Nnaochie? etc. This is a shame.

“It pains me to no end. Now, are there no elders in the family? This is success without brains. Education without character. Make shame catch us small na. When Gold rusts what will Iron do? Ndi ara akwu eke. Awon werey.”

Paul Okoye did not take kindly to Igbokwe’s remarks and took to Instagram to vent his frustrations, suggesting that the APC chieftain should focus on addressing the challenges that he and his party have caused in the country.

Paul Okoye wrote, “Joe Igbokwe, your papa!

“Elder wey mumu! Focus on the country wey you put mouth scatter! People are hungry!”
