Sven-Goran Eriksson, a former England manager, has passed away at the age of 76 after battling pancreatic cancer.
His family confirmed his death in a brief statement on Monday.
“Sven-Goran Eriksson has passed away,” the statement read.
“After a long illness, SGE died during the morning at home surrounded by family.”
Earlier in 2024, he had revealed that he had been given a year to live “at best”.
Throughout his career, the Swede managed renowned European clubs such as Benfica, Roma, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, and Lazio.
