Anthony Martial, a former Manchester United forward, will likely join AEK Athens after leaving the Premier League side as a free agent in June.
The Frenchman, who has been connected with numerous clubs, including Flamengo, has now agreed to join the Greek side.
AEK Athens confirmed Martial’s upcoming arrival on social media, stating that he will arrive in the city on Wednesday evening to complete his transfer.
According to Greek media outlet Fos, Martial has signed a three-year contract with AEK worth €3.5 million a season, making him the club’s highest-paid player ever.
