Renowned artist D’banj recently decided to surprise commuters in Lagos by taking public transportation.
This unexpected move brought a sense of joy to those sharing the bus and train with him, as he commuted through the city in celebration of his latest project, The Entertainer.
D’banj’s journey aligned perfectly with the first anniversary of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line, showcasing both the progress of the city’s infrastructure and his commitment to engaging with his fans in a special way.
From Leventis bus stop to Marina train station and on to National Theatre station, D’banj seamlessly blended in with his fellow passengers, receiving warm admiration and respect along the way.
In a heartwarming gesture, D’banj generously covered the transportation costs for everyone on board by loading their Cowry Cards with fare.
A memorable moment was captured on camera as he danced with an elderly woman, with other passengers joining in on a song from his latest album.
