The Football Association (FA) has opted not to impose retrospective punishment on Manchester City’s Erling Haaland for bouncing the ball off Gabriel’s head following their late goal against Arsenal.
Haaland started the scoring before Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel put the Gunners ahead. Leandro Trossard received a second yellow card for booting the ball away, and Stones inflicted late heartache.
After Stones bundled home, Haaland grabbed up the ball and tossed it at Gabriel’s head, who couldn’t see what was going on since his shirt was covering his face.
No action was taken at the time and the FA has now ruled that VAR reviewed the incident already.
