At least thirty individuals lost their lives in a tragic fuel tanker explosion on Sunday morning along Agaie-Bida road in Niger State.
The tanker had collided with a cattle-loaded trailer heading towards Lagos from Wudil, Kano State.
Abdullahi Arah, the Director General of Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), confirmed the incident and stated that 30 deceased individuals had been retrieved from the scene.
Rescue operations were ongoing as additional bodies were believed to be trapped inside the vehicles.
