Kanye West has announced the upcoming release of his new album, ‘Bully’.
The artist, known for hits like ‘Bound 2’, recently gave fans a taste of what’s to come with the debut of his track ‘Beauty and the Beast’ at a listening event in Haikou, China.
He told the audience in footage circulating on social media: “I got a new album coming out. The album’s called ‘Bully,’ and this song is called ‘Beauty and the Beast.”
The track featured a soft instrumental and Kanye singing lyrics that included: “I still think about it every night and day to try to stay away, to keep my audience / Don’t take this disrespect, I’m sitting here trying to redirect.”
The 47-year-old rapper’s longtime collaborator Mike Dean suggested the track was a leftover from Kanye’s 2021 album ‘Donda’.
Commenting on an Instagram post about the news, he simply wrote: “Donda leftover.”
Hours after his performance, Kanye West took to his own Instagram account to share an image from the concert along with the caption: “BULLY.”
Returning to China for the first time in 16 years, Kanye performed alongside Ty Dolla $ign to promote their collaborative ‘Vultures’ albums.
During a listening party earlier in September, Kanye also teased another new song titled ‘Preacher Man’ as he shared his plans for a new solo album.
While the release date for ‘Bully’ is still unknown, fans can expect delays based on Kanye’s recent track record.
His ‘Vultures’ albums faced delays before finally hitting streaming services in February and August, respectively.
In addition to ‘Bully’, Kanye West has hinted at other potential album projects like ‘TurboGrax16’ and ‘Yan’.
