John Mikel Obi, ex-Super Eagles midfielder, stated that Erling Haaland of Manchester City fails to perform in important matches.
He made this observation during an interview on beIN Sports on Wednesday, noting that Haaland tends to disappear when his team needs him the most.
When asked if Haaland takes big games by the scruff of the neck, Mikel Obi responded: “Right now, he hasn’t. We can agree on that.
“He’s scored goals, so many goals, but in the big games, I want to see him do that on Sunday again when they play Arsenal.
“I want to see him show up in big games and be the man. Score one or two, hat-trick, whatever it is.”
