Osimhen Opens Galatasaray Goal Account with Brilliant Brace Against Kasimpasa

Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen scored twice in the first half as Galatasaray defeated Kasimpasa 3-0 at home on Saturday.

The Nigerian striker, who had already contributed two assists in his first two matches, wasted no time getting on the scoreboard.

Osimhen scored his first goal in the 15th minute and celebrated jokingly by holding up a Galatasaray shirt with the phrase “Finally” on it.

He added a second in the 28th minute before Galatasaray’s Mauro Icardi made it three.

Despite goals from the Napoli loanee, Kasimpasa rallied in the second half to split the spoils, resulting in a 3-3 draw.

Osimhen, on loan from Napoli until the end of the season, has been linked with a move in the January transfer window.

However, Galatasaray vice president İbrahim Hatipoğlu announced earlier this week that the forward will remain with the club.

The 25-year-old’s contract with Napoli runs until June 2027 and includes a €75 million release clause. Before joining Galatasaray, Osimhen has 76 goals in 133 games for the Italian club.
