Premier League approves Chelsea’s £76m sale of two hotels to avoid PSR breach

EPL: Chelsea face transfer ban, points deduction

The Premier League approved Chelsea’s owners’ sale of two hotels to an associated company.

In June 2023, Chelsea FC Holdings Ltd sold the Millennium and Copthorne hotels to BlueCo 22 Properties Ltd, both owned by Chelsea’s holding company BlueCo 22 Ltd.

The £76.5m received from the sale reduced Chelsea’s loss to £89.9m instead of £166.4m in their 2022/2023 accounts, ensuring compliance with the Premier League’s financial rules.
