South Africa has been chosen to host the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (AFCON) in January 2025, CREEBHILLS reports.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) awarded the hosting rights to South Africa, who last hosted the competition 13 years ago.
Nigeria emerged as the winners of the competition when it was last held in South Africa, defeating Senegal in the final.
The Flying Eagles will need to qualify through the WAFU B tournament in Togo next month to secure their spot in the 2025 competition.
In the previous year, the Flying Eagles finished in third place at the U20 AFCON in Egypt.
