Beloved musician and founding member of the legendary Jackson 5, Tito Jackson, has passed away at the age of 70.
The sad news was announced by his children on Sunday, September 16th, 2024, leaving both fans and family in mourning.
The brother of Michael Jackson, Tito’s passing was reportedly due to a heart attack, though the exact cause has not been officially confirmed by the Jackson family.
He is survived by his three children, Taj, Taryll, and TJ, who continue to honor his musical legacy with their group, 3T, as well as his grandchildren. Tito’s ex-wife, Delores Martes, passed away in 1994.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared deeply about everyone and their well-being,” his children TJ, Taj, and Taryll stated in an Instagram post.
Tito’s death marks a sombre moment for fans and the music world, following the earlier losses of his brother Michael in 2009 and their father, Joe Jackson, in 2018.
