The Whatsapp number of Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has been compromised, as confirmed by the minister’s spokesperson, Bolaji Tunji, in a brief statement on Thursday evening.
He cautioned the public to ignore any requests for financial aid or support coming from the hacked phone number.
“HM of power number has been hacked on Wattsapp.Kindly disregard any appeal for money or any assistance for financial support through the number 08022901928”, the statement reads.
This incident follows similar hacks on the Whatsapp numbers of the Minister of Education, Prof Tahir Mamman, and the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, in the past week.
