Former Argentina forward, Sergio Agüero, has initiated legal action against Barcelona regarding €3 million in unpaid salaries.
The club owes the 26-year-old this amount as part of the termination of his contract in 2021.
As per an official communication provided to the members of the Catalan club, the issue remains under judicial review.
Agüero joined Barça from Manchester City on a two-year contract in 2021.
However, he was compelled to retire after just five matches, due to heart issues he experienced during a LaLiga match against Alavés.
He made his retirement announcement in December 2021, reaching a mutual agreement with the club to terminate his contract prematurely.
Nonetheless, a report outlining Barça’s financial situation for the 2023-24 season has disclosed that Aguero initiated legal action against the club earlier this year.
