In a recent Instagram post, popular comedienne Tomama revealed her thoughts on how some individuals use philanthropy as a means to disguise their wrongdoings.
She pointed out that gift-giving is a fast way to win favor with Nigerians and that many people engage in philanthropic acts solely for the purpose of showcasing them on camera.
According to Tomama, when individuals capture their philanthropic deeds on camera, it becomes challenging for others to criticize them, regardless of their past actions.
She suggested that any act of philanthropy involving a camera may be carried out with a hidden agenda.
Her words read …
“You see Nigerians eh, to deceive them & gain their love just pretend to be a Help the poor, do back to back giveaway, help clear some hospital bill, & don’tforget to publicize it while at they never forget to though W) & Boom… you’re loved and you can do no wrong in the poor masses eyes, even if you k’ somebody them go defend you Ps: To me any good when camera don involve gete own agenda”
