Victor Boniface, a Nigerian international and Bayer Leverkusen forward, survived a vehicle accident in Germany.
The incident occurred Saturday night, just hours after leading Bayer Leverkusen to a key Bundesliga victory against Frankfurt.
The 23-year-old netted the winner for Bayer Leverkusen in the 72nd minute, despite missing an early penalty, as the reigning champions defeated Frankfurt 2-1.
Boniface posted photos of the wrecked car to Instagram Stories, thanking God for saving his life.
“God said it’s not yet my time. Na so una for hear say my enemy don die,” he wrote.
The former Union SG star suffered minor hand injuries and will hope he is fit enough to return to action.
This comes after the Nigerian star was part of the Super Eagles team that was held hostage at an airport in Libya during the last international break.
