Skepta, the British Grime artist, has expressed his frustration with the current state of the UK music industry.
The musician known for hits like ‘Big Smoke’ criticized the British music scene, describing it as melancholy, divided, and controlled by exclusive groups.
“The UK music scene is sad. Smallest, most segregated, label run, crabs in a barrel scene of all scenes smh,” he wrote via his X handle.
Skepta is recognized as a trailblazer in the UK Grime music genre.
Born in the UK to Nigerian parents, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adenuga.
