I generate 15 per cent of Nigeria’s electricity – Davido’s dad, Deji Adeleke

Adedeji Adeleke, the father of popular singer Davido, stated that he produces 15% of Nigeria’s electricity during his speech at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church’s General Conference Annual Council 2024 on October 15th.

“I’m in the electricity business, I own power plants. I generate about 15 per cent of Nigeria’s electricity. I’ve Chinese engineering companies that work for me. I am building the biggest thermal power plant in Nigeria to be launched in January 2025. It’s a 1250MW power plant,” he said.

Additionally, Davido has mentioned in a previous interview on the American podcast ‘Business Untitled’ that their family owns four power plants that play a significant role in meeting Nigeria’s energy demands.
