In September, she sparked excitement online by posting what appeared to be a wedding announcement.
Many assumed she was engaged and getting ready for her wedding, especially since she wore a traditional Efik bridal gown in the shot.
Her caption, which referenced love and encouraged her supporters to continue believing in happiness, fueled the speculation.
Recall that the Nollywood diva married Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina in the United States on November 29, 2008, but the couple split in 2014.
In a recent interview with Premium Times, Ini stated that she no longer prioritizes marriage in her prayers or expectations.
She added that the public stunt was actually a promotion for her new four-part series, ‘My Fairytale Wedding.’
When she was asked if she was excited about having a real fairytale wedding someday, the actress stated:
“I’m not crazy about marriage; I’m crazy about having a solid relationship. I’m not hoping, and it’s not any of my prayer points.”
