Victor Osimhen allegedly has a €90 million release clause, which could allow him to leave Napoli permanently during the January transfer window.
According to a RAI Sport writer, this clause was added in the Galatasaray loanee’s contract extension with Napoli, which runs until June 2027.
However, the condition does not apply to Serie A clubs.
Over the summer, clubs such as Al-Ahli, Chelsea, and PSG expressed interest in Osimhen, who was the top scorer in Serie A during the 2022/23 season, scoring 76 goals in 133 matches for Napoli.
But none of those moves materialized. He eventually joined Galatasaray on loan, where he has already made an impact by scoring two goals in a 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa.
Meanwhile, despite rumours of a potential move, Galatasaray’s vice-president, İbrahim Hatipoğlu, has downplayed the possibility of Osimhen leaving in January.
