Despite his surprising defeat to Daniel Dubois in September, Anthony Joshua has been voted one of the top three highest-earning boxers in 2024.
The former two-time heavyweight champion received a fixed purse of £6 million for the Wembley Stadium fight, with additional pay-per-view money possibly increasing his earnings to £25 million if PPV sales hit 850,000.
Only Tyson Fury and Canelo Alvarez made more than the British-Nigerian pugilist this year, with the Gipsy King pocketing a whopping $100 million from his historic undisputed heavyweight bout with Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in May.
Mexican superstar Alvarez secured “north of $35m” for his successful undisputed super middleweight title defence against compatriot Jaime Munguia at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, according to boxing journalist Dan Rafael.
