Atalanta Football Club has offered Ademola Lookman a new contract extension at Gewiss Stadium until at least 2027 in an effort to retain him amidst interest from top European clubs.
The proposed agreement would see Lookman’s wages doubled to €3.5m per year by the reigning UEFA Europa League champions.
Despite reportedly reaching personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain earlier this year, the 27-year-old’s potential move was blocked by Atalanta.
Lookman’s impressive performances in the 2024/25 season have attracted attention, making him a target for European big clubs next summer.
The Nigerian player, who finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’or, is also a strong candidate for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award. The player originally joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022, and he currently has two years left on his existing contract.
