Brighton Stun Manchester City with Late Goals

Manchester City lost 2-1 against Brighton & Hove Albion in their last game before the November international break.

Mateo Kovacic’s excellent ball helped Erling Haaland score in the 23rd minute, but it wasn’t enough.

City dominated the first half, with Savinho and Haaland challenging goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen. Brighton’s Danny Welbeck provided a threat, but City’s defense stood strong.

In the second half, Brighton improved, and Ederson made crucial saves. Savinho and Haaland attempted to extend City’s lead, but Joao Pedro equalized (78′) and Matt O’Riley scored the winner (83′). Kevin De Bruyne’s late effort narrowly missed.

Despite six senior absences, City remain second in the Premier League. They face Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium in two weeks.
