Denzel Washington is one of Hollywood’s most decorated and revered artists, and his career has been marked by some of the most powerful roles and performances ever.
Now it appears that he will be adding another magnificent tapestry.
For example, Washington has stated that a role in ‘Black Panther 3’ is on the cards.
While on the promotional trail for Gladiator II, the legendary actor stated that Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is preparing for a role in the third installment of the Marvel franchise.
When asked by Australia’s Channel 9 about his future plans, the 70-year-old replied:
“At this point in my career, I’m only interested in working with the best, I don’t know how many more films I will make, probably not that many. I want to do things that I haven’t done.”
Continuing, he added:
“I played Othello at 22, I’m now going to play it at 70. fter that, I’m playing Hannibal. After that, I’ve been talking with Steve McQueen about a film. After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther.”
One of the most successful film series of all time, 2018’s Black Panther was a box office blockbuster, soaring past $1 billion at the global box office. Its 2022 sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, also dominated.
The latter is rendered particularly monumental given the collective effort to navigate the tragic death of lead Chadwick Boseman, who died between the release of the movies after a private battle with cancer.
