Miami Beach has officially rescinded singer Diddy’s Key to the City due to his ongoing legal troubles.
The decision to cut ties with the embattled American rapper was made by Miami Beach Mayor, Steven Meiner, during a unanimous vote at an in-person hearing last week.
This action comes nine years after Diddy was originally awarded the Key to the City in recognition of his contributions to the music industry and his role in organizing the Revolt Music Conference in Miami Beach.
Diddy, who is now facing federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges, has lost this honor as a result of his legal troubles.
