Ruben Amorim’s first interview as Manchester United’s new head coach was interrupted unexpectedly by pop artist Ed Sheeran.
The interview came after United’s 1–1 draw with Ipswich at Portman Road.
The match began smoothly for United, with Marcus Rashford scoring his fifth goal of the season in the second minute.
However, Ipswich, led by Kieran McKenna, battled back fiercely.
After repeatedly troubling goalkeeper Andre Onana, they equalized with a magnificent long-range strike from Omari Hutchinson.
While Amorim was delivering his post-match interview to Sky Sports, Sheeran walked to greet pundit Jamie Redknapp.
Noticing Amorim’s reaction, Sheeran commented, “I don’t think he wants to speak to me,” followed by “I love being back in the Premier League.”
