Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal manager, has praised Ruben Amorim, the new boss at Manchester United.
Arteta expressed his best wishes for the Portuguese tactician, who recently made the move from Sporting CP to the Red Devils.
Amorim took over at Old Trafford following the departure of interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Before arriving in England, Amorim led Sporting CP to victory in five competitions, including two Primeira Liga titles.
Addressing the press ahead of Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League match against Sporting CP on Tuesday, the Gunners boss said, “Amorim is an excellent coach, with a special career, who achieved something historic at Sporting, especially in terms of form.
“He has a very nice challenge ahead of him at one of the most important clubs in the world and I hope it goes well for him.”
