The musician presented himself in a federal court located in Los Angeles following his extradition from the state of Florida.
He opted to enter a plea of not guilty concerning the murder-for-hire allegation that had been levied against him three weeks earlier.
Subsequently, the artist was assigned to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles, where he is scheduled to remain until December 12.
According to a report from USA Today, Lil Durk is set to appear before a judge that Thursday to seek a determination regarding his eligibility for bond.
The initial arrest of Lil Durk was precipitated by the murder-for-hire allegation. Nevertheless, it is noteworthy that the rapper has faced an additional two charges since that time.
On November 7, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California charged Lil Durk with “one count of use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death.” He was also charged with one count of “using, carrying and discharging firearms and a machine gun and possession of such firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death.”
