Breaking: APC’s Okpebholo wins Edo governorship election

Monday Okpebholo was officially sworn in as the new governor of Edo State, bringing an end to Godwin Obaseki’s eight-year tenure in the South-South state.

The inauguration ceremony occurred at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Tuesday, following the All Progressives Congress (APC) winning the ticket to the Dennis Osadebay House two months prior.

Okpebholo and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, took their oaths of office during the event.
