Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has confirmed that he will not be moving to Chelsea during the January transfer window.
The Nigeria international has stated that he plans to remain at Galatasaray until the end of the season. Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.
Despite advanced talks between Chelsea and Napoli over a potential deal for Osimhen in the summer window, no agreement was reached with the player or the club.
Osimhen ultimately joined Galatasaray on loan for the 2024/25 season with a break clause that allows him to move to other top European clubs in January.
Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool are among the clubs that could trigger this clause.
However, Osimhen made it clear after Galatasaray’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League that he is committed to staying with the Turkish team for the rest of the season.
“I have seen a lot of the speculation linking me out of the club in January, I can state through me now I’m going to be here until the end of the season.
“And then I don’t know what Galatasaray and Napoli are negotiating but of course, if they come to me to speak about one or two things regarding this club I would consider it, of course.
“So far I’m enjoying my stay in Istanbul. I’m happy to be here.”
