The Princess of Wales is set to undertake her most prominent public duty since starting cancer treatment as she welcomes the Emir of Qatar to the UK next month.
Catherine will join Prince William on December 3 to greet the Emir and his wife, Sheikha Jawaher, at their residence before accompanying them to the Horse Guards Parade for a ceremonial welcome.
The King and Queen will later meet the Qatari guests and accompany them back to Buckingham Palace.
Following her preventative chemotherapy treatment, the princess announced in September that she would gradually return to public engagements.
She is expected to join the Royal Family for lunch at Buckingham Palace but will not attend the State Banquet scheduled for the evening.
