Sonia Ighalo Adesuwa, the former spouse of Nigerian soccer player Jude Ighalo, recently shared a heartfelt message to married individuals in Lagos.
Via her Instagram story, she stressed the importance of wearing wedding bands as a symbol of commitment and a public declaration of one’s marital status.
Sonia Ighalo urged married individuals to consistently wear their wedding rings to prevent any confusion among singles and to make it clear to others about their relationship status.
She wrote:
“Married people in Lagos, please always wear your wedding rings. They are a symbol of commitment to your significant other and a public statement to total strangers. Stop confusing singles out there.
At least make e dey easy for us to know how many of us remain”.
