Taylor Swift has once again proven her dominance in the music industry by winning Best Artist for the third time at the MTV Europe Awards (EMAs).
With a total of seven nominations,Taylor Swift took home four awards including Best Artist and Best Video for her track “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone.
The pop sensation, known for her record-breaking Eras tour, outshined competitors like Charli XCX and Billie Eilish at the event hosted by Rita Ora at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena.
This marked the first time the EMAs were held in Manchester, following previous locations in Glasgow, Liverpool, Belfast, Edinburgh, and three visits to London.
The night was filled with electrifying performances from Shawn Mendes, Raye, and Tyla, solidifying Swift’s reign as one of the most successful artists in music history.
During the show, Ora gave an emotional tribute to the One Direction singer Liam Payne, saying: “Liam Payne was one of the kindest people that I knew. He had the biggest heart and was always the first person to offer help in any way that he could. He brought so much joy to every room he walked into and he left such a mark on the world.”
