President Trump appoints Tom Homan as US border czar

Donald Trump Wins the US Presidential Election, Defeats Kamala Harris

Donald Trump, the President-elect, has announced the reappointment of Tom Homan, his former acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as the “border czar” in his upcoming administration.

Trump revealed this decision on his Truth Social platform on Sunday.

In his new role, Thomas Homan will be responsible for overseeing maritime and aviation security, as well as coordinating the deportation of undocumented immigrants to their home countries. This aligns with Trump’s immigration policy, which emphasizes the removal of unauthorized immigrants.

It is important to note that Senate approval is not needed for this position.

Given Homan’s extensive experience and Trump’s commitment to carrying out the largest deportation operation in U.S. history, his appointment was largely anticipated.
