Trump to sign Executive Order removing transgender personnel from US military

Donald Trump Wins the US Presidential Election, Defeats Kamala Harris

The President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, is reportedly preparing to enact an executive order that would expel all transgender individuals from the nation’s military.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, this development has sparked significant concern within the LGBTQ+ community.

This announcement comes in the context of legislative efforts by the US Congress aimed at preventing the first transgender lawmaker from utilizing female restrooms and facilities in her new workplace.

As per the report, state officials indicated that transgender service members would be discharged on medical grounds, categorizing them as “unfit” for military service.

CREEBHILLS notes that during Trump’s initial term, he implemented a comparable policy that barred transgender individuals from enlisting in the Armed Forces.

However, he permitted those already serving to continue in their positions.

In the first week of his presidency in 2021, President Joe Biden subsequently rescinded the military ban established by Trump following his departure from office.
