‘Women not as corrupt as men’ – Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, asserted that gender plays a role in corruption, noting that women are generally less corrupt than men.

During an interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, the former governor of Anambra State elaborated on his belief that women, being more family-oriented, are more focused on bettering society.

Peter Obi shared that during his tenure as governor, he made a deliberate effort to appoint women to key positions.

“Women are less corrupt. They are not as corrupt as men. And because they have families, they are more determined to see things work.

“When I was governor, my Chief of Staff and commissioners for Education and Planning were all women,” Obi said.
