In a statement released on Thursday, Spotify’s Sub-Saharan Africa podcast manager, Ncebakazi Manzi, highlighted the continent’s growing demand for podcast content, with nearly four billion minutes of podcast audio streamed across Sub-Saharan Africa in 2024.

Manzi mentioned that motivational podcasts focused on personal development, finances, relationships, and health remained highly popular across these countries.

Top Podcasts in Nigeria for 2024

The top five podcasts in Nigeria included:

  2. Motivation Daily by Motiversity
  3. Success Addicted Podcast (featuring voices of Earl Nightingale, Napoleon Hill, Jim Rohn, and others)
  4. Apostle Joshua Selman
  5. The Honest Bunch Podcast

Manzi noted that in Nigeria, spirituality dominated the podcast charts, with the success of Apostle Femi Lazarus and Apostle Joshua Selman reflecting the strong appeal of faith-based content. However, the continued popularity of The Honest Bunch Podcast and I Said What I Said shows that Nigerian listeners also enjoy conversation-style podcasts.
