Nigerian UK-based pastor Tobi Adegboyega has been at the center of controversy regarding his rumored deportation, but he recently shed light on his decision to have secular artists like Davido and KCee perform at his birthday party.
Back in November 2024, Pastor Tobi faced backlash for choosing secular artists over gospel singers for his birthday celebration. However, in a recent interview, he explained that he has a close relationship with Davido and Zlatan Ibile, whom he humorously referred to as gospel artists.
The clergyman clarified that he wasn’t able to have gospel artists perform at his party because they had turned against him. He also mentioned that Davido and the other performers did not receive any payment for their appearances.
Speaking about Zlatan Ibile, Adegboyega described the Zanku boss as a son to him, stating that his parents were recently at his home in the UK.
